How do I create a group?
On the home screen choose Create group, then pick a type: Family Room (recipes, weekly menu, task list), Book club (book of the month, ratings, recommendations, history) or Meetup (a recurring get-together with RSVPs).
How do I invite people?
Open the group and choose Invite. You get an invite code or a link to pass on. Whoever receives it opens Plönum and enters the code. Groups are closed — nobody gets in without an invite.
Can I invite my child?
Yes. Inside a Family Room choose Invite a child. You type your child's name and get a family code. Your child opens Plönum, taps I have a family code and enters it — no email address and no account needed. They get access to that one family and can rate recipes and edit the weekly menu. You can remove them at any time. Free.
I'm not getting reminders
Check two things: that you allowed notifications when the app asked (iPhone Settings → Plönum → Notifications), and that reminders are switched on for the group. If Low Data Mode is on, your phone may hold back notifications.
How do I delete my account?
Profile icon in the top right → scroll to the bottom → Delete account. This deletes your account and your data. Content you added to a group may remain with the group, no longer linked to you.
How do I leave a group?
Open the group and choose to leave it. A group owner can also remove members.
What does Plönum cost?
It is free while in beta. Some features will be paid later, and we'll tell you before that happens. No ads, no tracking.
I can't find my book
The catalogue covers every Icelandic book and translation from the last ten years, and it keeps growing. If a title is missing, send it to hello@plonum.app and we'll add it.
